The session will include guided improvisation, a few minutes of free writing and finished with a structured group improvisation.PEOPLEMary Catherine Jack is an Ottawa based independant dance artist. She is passionate about movement and takes great joy in sharing this passion with others. She divides her career between teaching, creating and performing. Her current artistic exploration involves ideas around ecology, stewardship and reciprocity.Jocelyn Todd (she/her) is a choreographer, multi-disciplinary artist, administrator, teacher, student, worker and, previously, festival producer currently working in so-called Ottawa.Pierre‑Luc Clément is a multi-instrumentalist, sound designer, director and conceptual artist. A founding member of the experimental music group FET.NAT, he is actively involved in the region’s artistic and community scene.ACCESSArts Court has accessible entry-points, the workshop will be held in a physically accessible studio and there is an accessible washroom near the entrance to Ottawa Dance Directive on the second floor.This workshop will be led in English, but translation can be offered in french.We will be guided to move and dance or experience stillness - everything is optional and options will be given.
